Nov 2021 Highlights!

Thank you so much to all of our students who performed at our first monthly talent show in October! It was a great success and we very much enjoyed seeing how much talent we truly have at our studio. An added congratulations to Miss Grace who had the most students attend. We will continue to have our teacher “team” competitions at following shows too.

Violin Lessons

If you want to try a new instrument, or have been waiting for us to add violin to our studio, you may sign up today! Our new instructor, Miss Morgen, is an amazing violinist and teacher. She has been playing since she was 4 years of age and is currently the principle violinist in the Valpo University Orchestra. Lessons available starting at age 4 and violin rentals are available at the studio!

Nov 2021 Star Student

This month’s Star Student is Than S. He was given the gift of music when he was a young child and received a keyboard from his grandparents. He immediately began making up his own songs on it.

Than loves the way a piano can carry a melody, and has the power to play the bass clef and treble at the same time. If he’s jamming it’s to either “Cast Your Fate to the Wind” or “Linus and Lucy” by Vince Guaraldi.

Than has been a featured performer at multiple churches, nursing homes, the Sunset Hill Harvest Festival, and, of course, at Innovative Music & Arts Studio.

When he isn’t playing the piano, he can be found building trains or Legos, being super brainy while working on engineering or programming, or serving at his church. Congratulate Than on being our star student when you see him in the studio!

Grace teaches Piano & Harp

Miss Grace Wells

Grace has a true passion for music and teaching. She began studying piano in early childhood and several years later came to Miss Kim for harp lessons.

She is an extremely talented musician and a skilled instructor. She cares deeply for her students and she finds creative ways to make their lessons fun!

Her favorite part of teaching music is getting to watch her students learn life skills while falling in love with the music. She especially loves getting to see her very young students light up as they learn to express themselves through their instrument!

She currently performs as a pianist for her church worship team, and is a part of Northwest Indiana Symphony Youth Orchestra, SoundTide Music Advanced String Ensemble, and La Bella Voca – Flute and Harp Duet. She shares her music every chance she gets, including at weddings, church functions, parties and more!

We are so happy to have Grace on our teaching staff and look forward to seeing her students continue to thrive under her instruction!
